what is the best way to keep hush puppies (food) fresh?

I have some hush puppies left over and i want to know what is the best way to keep them fresh so they don’t harden? Do i keep them in the fridge and then reheat them or what is the best way?

if only keeping for a few days, Take a paper towel lay in the bottom of your plastic container, and place hush puppies ontop of towel, then refridgerate. That’s what us southerners do, we also put a paper towel in a zip lock bag, and place hush puppies between the bag and the towel, and keep on the kitchen table for about 2 days.
